Today’s Video of the Day is a performance of Hanna Havrylets’ ‘Prayer’ by Meridian Choir featuring soprano Grace Davidson. This is the first choral interpretation of the piece, which is from their new album Serenity, out now with Signum Classics. Meridian is London’s newest professional choir, founded and led by University of California Irvine choral director Irene Messoloras.

Talking about the project Messoloras states, ‘with Serenity, we aimed to create a listening experience that breathes, that carries the weight of human longing, and that allows room for reflection. This recording is deeply personal to me. Each piece was chosen not only for its beauty but for the way it invites us into a space of stillness and soulful contemplation.’
